Letter From The Editor

It’s the week before Spring Break and maybe it’s just me, but it is time for a break from school. This semester has been a rough one so far. Perhaps it’s trying to start a new publication or maybe I’m catching senioritis as a sophomore (imagine what my senior year will be like… Hmm..) but playing We Love Katamari seems way more important than the critiques and papers I need to write for my classes. Some say I have a small attention span. I say my attention span is just trying to tell me is time to take a break from hitting the books.

But enough about how much we all need a much longer break than we’re about to enjoy. At Rowan on the Record, we have recently experienced a change. The News Editor an Arts & Entertainment Editor have switched positions. Don’t worry. We were all kinds of legit about it. There was a vote in which everyone at the meeting got to vote. No one saw any reason why the two couldn’t just switch sections. So now Josh Gager will be the News Editor, and still the Photo Editor, while Ismaa Viqar will be taking over the A&E section.

How will this effect our publication? Hopefully not at all for the readers. We have been getting a great response from readers and hope to hold up to the positive comments we have received. The sections will also be continuing to cover both Philly and Rowan events. The editors are just now in their happier places.

What’s to come in the next few weeks? I have no idea right now. I am working on getting more than just these letters into the Opinion section and expanding a great deal in the humor section that is currently affectionately entitled, Funny Shit.

As for actual plans, we will be continuing our original reporting and will try to expand our content.
